To add an email other than gmail, you should first try the automatic settings of the Desire HD .. By default, DHD using POP3 settings so make sure that the POP3 mail server supports the use of .. If it fails DHD settings via POP3, can be tried manual settings with the IMAP protocol .. Here are the steps IMAP settings in the DHD ..
� Open Mail, then select Other (POP3/IMAP).
� After New account has opened, fill the email address & password with appropriate email settings.
� Select Manual Setup.
� After Incoming server settings screen appears, change to IMAP protocol
� SSL security change to the usual 993.
� Change the IMAP server (just look at the settings for yahoo mail providers use imap.mail.yahoo.com .. .. others can also try setting it ..) and then select Next.
� After Outgoing server settings screen appears, change SMTP to smtp.mail.yahoo.com and also change the SSL security, 465, select Next to continue
� Once the new account appears on the screen, enter the Account name & Your name corresponding
Done! Enjoy the e-mail facility with mailserver other than gmail ..
